BOAC, Marinduque -- The Land Transportation Office held a 'Christmas Gift-giving for Disciplined Drivers' which catered 150 drivers of passenger jeeps, tricycles and trucks in the said town recently.
According to the agency, the purpose of the program is to pay tribute to the drivers who remain responsible and disciplined by ensuring that their licenses, registrations and franchises are updated and not burned.
“In the spirit of love and giving brought by the Christmas season, and to help our drivers who have been greatly affected by the pandemic, high oil prices and other commodities, we came up with the activity to give back and also to remind them to drive carefully and ensure the safety of their passengers.” they added.
LTO-Boac partnered with the Marinduque Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT) and Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity for this cause and in ensuring a safe road for the citizens. (Ana Maria Korina D. Arcilla/MNN)
