2 Marinduque Youth Rep: Off to Vietnam, all for the Youth

Boac, Marinduque - One thousand delegates from 120 countries around the world will converge in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam for the 1st Dux Gregis (Leader of all Leaders): International Youth Leaders Convergence from June 25-29, a project of the Tuxedo Institute of Asia Delegates are students who passed the qualification exams, age 18-35 years old, faculty and professionals.

1st Dux Gregis is a four-day World Youth Leaders Meet with “primary focus on providing International Youth Leaders Community with 21st Century Advanced & Updated Youth Programs & Community Development Concept Plans, High Level Operational Systems & Global Project Templates. This is a one way of preparing the youth for ASEAN and Global Integration.

Among the thousand participants, Rafael Constantino R. Seño, currently the AGREA’s Director of Rapport from Boac will be representing Marinduque, Philippines together with Jonathan C. Quinto of Torrijos, Marinduque, a graduate of BS-Agriculture and currently the Director of Agricultural Abundance of the AGREA, a private group with foreign volunteers that help the province’s agriculture or farming, marketing and promotion of the island as agro-tourism destination. They were both students of the Marinduque State College, Boac when they were sent to the 1st El Liderato Masters Challenge 2014 in Camarines Sur - a project of the Tuxedo Intitute of Asia also. Seño was one of the Top Ten Finalists from among 260 participants in this event. He went through an interview to qualify for the next challenge, the Dux Gregis. But instead of simply qualifying, he was appointed as the Overall Technical Director of the whole event in Vietnam and the Head for the Global Extemporaneous Speech Face Off.

Tuxedo Institute of Asia presents 1st Dux Gregis in Vietnam where different activities will be presented such as: 8 World Issue Discussions, 5 Program Development Sessions and 5 International Competitions such as: Global Extemporaneous Speech Face-Off, World Tourism Marketing Challenge, International Heritage Showcase Competition and Community Program Development: Research and Proposal Competition.

“This is such a great task and an honor not only for me and family but for Marinduque province and our country”, Seño said. “This did not come handy to me, there were problems along the way like travel order from school and financial assistance. Luckily, the provincial government and AGREA supported this travel and endeavour for the youth”, he added.
