Sa kanyang inspiring message na ipinadala sa Marinduque News Online, sinabi n'ya "The road to success may be long and winding, but no step is too small for you not to be able to reach your goal. There is no short cut to success. If you want something, you shouldn’t wait for someone to make it happen. Often times, it takes courage and determination to make all impossible to possibilities. Believe in your capabilities, strengthen your weaknesses and learn from your failures, but never give up. Keep trying and keep going, before you know you are already there. Above all, do not forget to look back and inspire people who are still at the helm of starting their journey. Sometimes success is not only achieving your dream but a self fulfillment you get when you see people succeeded because you have been part of their triumph…and that is genuine."

We are so much proud of you, JC. A truly pride of Marinduque!

Thirty-five Filipino students were given the opportunity to pursue their post-graduate studies in countries under the European Union (EU) after winning scholarships in EU’s Erasmus+ program.
In a statement, the EU said the scholarship would allow students to take MA and Ph D courses in different universities across EU member states, for them “to benefit from the academic expertise and culture of more than one university.”

“This programme gives life changing opportunities for Filipino students to experience living the European culture, learning European languages and being integrated into the European society for one to two years,” the EU said.

Erasmus +, an international academic mobility program, covers air fare to Europe, tuition, and a monthly allowance between P55,000 and P138,000.

In a reception on Monday, EU Ambassador to the Philippines Franz Jessen urged outgoing Erasmus+ students to be “ambassadors of goodwill and agents of change” in strengthening ties between EU and the Philippines.

More than 200 students and lecturers have benefitted from Erasmus+ since 2004.
